Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 1 Posted October 1 So, so close, Mike! If you just somehow didn't crawl into that deep, dark hole in the 2000 post-season, you might be telling your kids how you beat Willie Mays! I'll go with Cliff Floyd the Ever-Popular Met. He should have piled up some Marlins appearances.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Not Cliff. He didn’t have very many games with the Marlins. He was on the Rays’ 2008 World Series team…but short of the list.

Oh, man. A friend of mine lost a dog to the great hereafter. I tried to write some consolation, and the algos went into overdrive. "Clearly this idiot likes dead dog content" they concluded, and started hitting me was canis mortuus content over and over. These are strangers, essaying out their grief over a lost family member. I'm not a monster, and I click the ambiguous-but-compassionate CARE emoji. And occasionally, because I'm a sap, I write something consoling, and that only means more dead dogs in my feed. I try to wean myself off. No more responses, only clicks. I feel like a dick if I don't at least do that, but here come the cats. Tabbies, and Maine coons and Persians of all size and shape. I'm not even much of a cat person. I've known a cat or two, and appreciated much of what they bring, but haven't really had the occasion to bond with them, but the grief is real, and I click, and ... and here come the people mourning dead sons and daughters in my feed. My social media feed is a funeral home.
