Brewers have the best record in MLB, are 4th in RS/G (4.96), 2nd in RA/G (3.73), have the best run differential (+161) and yet are dead last in HRs (120)

On a really basic level, they're slightly more clutch than average, particularly in high leverage situations:

Split BA OBP SLG OPS BAbip tOPS+ sOPS+
High Lvrge .268 .363 .392 .755 .333 107 110
Medium Lvrge .247 .329 .407 .736 .293 100 103
Low Lvrge .253 .333 .389 .721 .312 97 103
Split BA OBP SLG OPS BAbip tOPS+ sOPS+
RISP .261 .354 .417 .771 .316 110 109

According to SNY, a mystery guest is joining Gary & Keith in the booth for today's Mets-Brewers game.

Any guesses?

The Brewers don't make a lot of mistakes and are sharp in all departments

Let's win one two or three. Don't get swept

So far this game is following form: the Brewers get a bunch of base hits (but also hit into a few GiDPs) including one with a RiSP, and the Mets hit solo homers.

And, when the Mets have a runner on 3rd with no one out, no one can get the ball out of the infield.

Front row Amy!

I didn't know Ms. Amy did road trips.

Would've been nice to get more than one run out of all the activity of that inning.

If Andy Green is feeling really crazy, he can combat the all-lefty bench by going to Jefrey Yan in the ninth.

As it turns out, three righties from the heart of the order will be due up, so going to Yan would be, like, rilly crazy.

Lavender with a nine pitch 1 - 2 - 3 inning.

Dilly Dilly!

And now six outs on 20 pitches. Give him the 9th ... keep the lefty swinging Bowers, Yelich, etc. on the bench!

If we can keep the Brewers under six here we'll have a chance in the bottom half.

Problem is, I don't know if we can.
