Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Pitches thrown thru six innings: Phils 72; Mets 11912/inning vs 19.83
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 I really think this is worse than 2007.

Bob Alpacadaca Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 I really thought they'd have a chance in this one.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Another inning, another 1-2-3 (22 straight), another inning with nothing even coming close to getting out of the infield.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Upsides to losing streaks:A well-rested closer.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Mets did a good job saving their bulllpen. Once they fail here they'll have avoided 4 ninth innings.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Well, that was a brutal road trip.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 The final 25 NYM batters retired (for 26 outs). In innings two thru 9 the Mets had zero batters reach and managed just three balls out of the infield. In innings two thru 8 the Phils reached base 13 times and scored six of them.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Ok, move along. Nothing to see
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2025 Author Posted September 12, 2025 I caught them coughing up the lead as we drove home from the Syracuse Mets game (we left early as they were down big). It was 4-3 when we left the park and 6-4 when I got home. I did not put the game on, nor did I check the score. I just went to bed.
