Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Taijuan Walker is the party of the other part (as Groucho would have put it).He was relegated to the bullpen for a time mid-year but has been back starting since early July and pitching fairly wellalthough his last five starts have included games vs WAS, WAS, BAL, CHW (and CIN) so kind of a soft landing.Overall 27 G/16 starts; 3.44 ERA; 1.28 WHIP

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Torrens looked like he got his catching hand/wrist knocked around again at least once last night, maybe more.Tough to let it heal when it's taking a constant pounding. And eight straight games until the next day off so Senger may get several of them.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Looking at that lineup reminds me that I heard that Winker and Siri will be starting their first rehab games today for St. Lucie (low A). I'm not sure if they would replace anyone full time, but maybe Winker could platoon with Marte.Later

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Remember when Siri's rehab progress was "ahead of schedule"? That was about 35 months ago, I think.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 What did I miss with Bohm ? I'm missing the context

roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 This offensive resurgence is what I was getting at in attribution their lousy w l record to bad luck. A, few of these copious runs redistributed earlier and we would have remained comfortably in first place all season

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 A slightly shaggier 7th for the kid but you gotta give him the 8th IMO
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 I've seen enough. I'm ready to retire number 26.
Bob Alpacadaca Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 I'm just glad we didn't trade him for Luis Robert at the deadline as was rumored!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Baty and Vientos hitting at the same time.$$
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Not running on Nimmo?!?Philly's 3rd base coach has been remarkably passive this whole series.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 That wasn't just a performance. That was an announcement. A message. If he pitches on a weekend any time soon, the national networks are going to sweep in and steal the broadcasts.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Hey, Nimmo trimmed his shrubby beard!
