The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 An insurance run (ortwo) would be nice. Marte, who has arguably the best at bats of the game for the Mets, will lead off the 8th.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 Marte comes through with a lead off double.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 Stanek coming in to face the 3-4-5 hitters in the 8th.I would be tempted to go with Diaz against the heart of the order, then use Stanek in the 9th against the lower part of the order.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 I'm not into these scrunched numerals on the back of these Giants.Wilmer smoked that ball
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 That is the third or fourth ball the Giants have smoked right at a Mets defender.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 Diaz didn't fool anyone. He faced 4 hitters and 3 of them hit absolute bullets. Luckily, 2 of them were at corner infielders and the other stayed in the park (barely) due to the tall right field wall. Glad to escape with the victory.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2025 Author Posted July 26, 2025 A sidebar to this winning streak is that they keep facing teams on the periphery of contention, so each win has a chance to deeply alter a team's fates.Buster Posey is up in the president's suite, taking calls from sellers, and after Alonso snags that liner, he has to hang up and start calling buyers.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 And now they get to throw a bullpen game against Senga. Hopefully Kodai has cleared the mechanism and is ready to pitch Sengaish.
