batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 Nimmo with the rare day off. McNeil also sits.Tough lefty on the hill.Baty, though, plays.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 Every time I say that Marte isn't good anymore, he has a good game. So, hoping the pattern holds, Marte sucks.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 Baty has hit the ball hard against some lefties recently, so maybe they are trying to build on that, or maybe he is playing for his Metly life
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Author Posted May 21, 2025 Almost seems like an unfair fight for Baty against the lefty fire baller. I'll go contrarian and say he has a good game tonightI don't know what to make of Nimmo. He seems to have a lot of city miles on him. Maybe when the weather gets warm he starts to feel betterDid Francisco Alvarez already have his career year with the 25 homers? I hope as hell not. He still seems green in many ways with improvement to be hadLGM!!
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 I think Baty is of getting the sink or swim treatment from the team. I've also read there's rumblings they're not so happy thatVientos isn't more of an offensive presence. Who knows, sometimesthese things all work out and sometimes there's a new face or twohere before you know it.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Author Posted May 21, 2025 Every time I think I have Baty or Vientos figured out things go off in a different direction
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Author Posted May 21, 2025 There's a lot of hits up in Soto's hair to be had
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 I have a feeling Soto is going to explode tonight
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 (edited) Good news: Lindor gets on to start the gameBad news: He hardly ever scores when this happens** Six 1st inning runs scored this season after reaching base 18 times including 9 singles & 4 doubles plus one walk But four of those runs scored he had to drive in himself w/a HR. So in those other 14 times on base he's been driven in twice.(now 19 times on, four self-driven in, 15 other times on/13 times stranded) Edited May 21, 2025 by Guest

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 Bregman's got a bigger beef on that strike three call than Buehler did on last night's non-strike call.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 Well, if nothing else, they've figured out how to get to 2nd on balls off the Monster. Now they need to figure out how to get one across the plate.0h-fer-five w/RiSP ... just in the first eight batters!!!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 Dogshit at bats there by Taylor and Acuna
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Author Posted May 21, 2025 What a horrible couple of at bats. I mean wtf
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 (edited) I agree with the send even though it didn't work. The way things are going, if you wait around for a clutch hit you might be waiting until mid-June. Edited May 21, 2025 by Guest

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2025 Posted May 21, 2025 But then a shoulda-been-out IF 1B, a coulda-been-out IF 1B, and a HBP all to the bottom of the order guys and he doesn't even last the inning.
