I'm feeling a big Vientonight.

Enjoy this one because no game tomorrow and AppleTV Fri.

Every time I say that Marte isn't good anymore, he has a good game.

So, hoping the pattern holds, Marte sucks.

Baty has hit the ball hard against some lefties recently, so maybe they are trying to build on that, or maybe he is playing for his Metly life

Almost seems like an unfair fight for Baty against the lefty fire baller. I'll go contrarian and say he has a good game tonight

I don't know what to make of Nimmo. He seems to have a lot of city miles on him. Maybe when the weather gets warm he starts to feel better

Did Francisco Alvarez already have his career year with the 25 homers? I hope as hell not. He still seems green in many ways with improvement to be had

I think Baty is of getting the sink or swim treatment from the

team. I've also read there's rumblings they're not so happy that

Vientos isn't more of an offensive presence. Who knows, sometimes

these things all work out and sometimes there's a new face or two

here before you know it.

Good news: Lindor gets on to start the game

Bad news: He hardly ever scores when this happens*

* Six 1st inning runs scored this season after reaching base 18 times including 9 singles & 4 doubles plus one walk

But four of those runs scored he had to drive in himself w/a HR. So in those other 14 times on base he's been driven in twice.

(now 19 times on, four self-driven in, 15 other times on/13 times stranded)

Well, if nothing else, they've figured out how to get to 2nd on balls off the Monster.

Now they need to figure out how to get one across the plate.

0h-fer-five w/RiSP ... just in the first eight batters!!!

I agree with the send even though it didn't work.

The way things are going, if you wait around for a clutch hit you might be waiting until mid-June.

And not even a single ball out of the IF in those five ABs: PO, K, K, PO, GO

Fortunately Baty put an end to the run.

But then a shoulda-been-out IF 1B, a coulda-been-out IF 1B, and a HBP all to the bottom of the order guys and he doesn't even last the inning.
