Waddell and Devenski go down. Ty Adcock and Genesis Cabrera (a lefty) come up. Cabrera will wear 92, Adcock 52.

This massive shuttling between NYC and Syracuse is what I was advocating to reduce the size of the pitching staff. Keep sending relievers back and forth with instructions not to use them too freely when they're in Syracuse.

There's a limit to how often you can make those moves these days.

Yes, Frayed Knot.

According to metsmerized.com, the Mets are calling up prospect Blade Tidwell to start Sunday's game against the Cards.

He's the #30 prospect on some lists.

At AAA this year, he is 1-2 with e 5.00 ERA in 27 IP, with 10 BB and 37 K.

Ty Adcock shuttled to Syracuse in favor of RHP Austin Warren, who will wear Bob Myrick's 44.

Nuñez set to be activated for the night game in St. Louis, presumably replacing Tidwell. Warren is the 27th Man for the day-nighter.

And also a limit on the number of times any one player can go up and down in a single season.

Yes, that's what I was referring to.

I thought you were referring to the minimum stay for an optioned player in AAA before they can be recalled again.
