I'm "watching" on mlb.com gameday. How the hell did Acuna get a double out of a gb to SS?

The 3B tried to barehand it and missed. The SS was out of position and the ball trickled into short left field and Acuna took advantage

Thank you. Good thing Arenado wasn't out there today.

7-3. I can live with that. Even relax a bit.

Ryan Fernandez has a bad habit of standing on the tracks at the wrong time.

Not until now when Gary mentioned where the term "walk off" comes from did I really even think about it , it's not for the hitter , Denis Eckersly coined the term for the pitcher having to walk off after giving up the hit, and now it makes perfect sense

It was on the occasion of the famous HR by Kirk Gibson to win G1 of the 1988 WS. Eck referred to it as a 'walk-off' during post-game comments in the clubhouse. And since that all happened in L.A. during the '80s it wouldn't surprise me if Pat Riley copyrighted the phrase before Gibby was even finished circling the bases (which, admittedly, took a while) and has been earning money from it ever since.

The important thing is that she is a Met fan. The next most important thing is that she is a Met fan from Georgia.

Looks like she has been in a lot of New York-based film and stage productions, so I guess she has gotten a taste of the Metly life and found it to her liking.

Lindor is purty close to all-time franchise shortstop status, if he hasn't achieved it already.

Jose Reyes has played in the World Series as a Met

Frankie can knock that one down very soon I hope

Jose never played in the World Series. His only postseasons with the Mets were 2006 and 2016.

I think he takes that title from Jose with one more good year in 2025.

Sorry about that

I guess Lindor gets that crown by the end of the season
