ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 I'm eager to see how well Senga has recovered. Big start for KodaiLindor 6Soto 9Alonso 3 Nimmo 7 Vientos 5 Winker DH Torrens 2 Acuna 4Siri 8 Senga 1Acuna gets the start against Sandy Alcantra, a righty
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Alcantara, who was voted by teammates to be the Marlin least likely to still be a Marlin by the 1st of August, pitched on OD vs Pitt: 91 pitches 4.2 IP; 2R; 2H; 4 BB 7KIt was his first action since 9/3/23 as he missed the remainder of that year and all of '24 with UCL surgery and recovery.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 I was hoping the Mets would have traded for Alcantara before this game. Maybe before his next start against the Mets next week.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Author Posted April 1, 2025 Senga needs to be healthy. Manaea had a setback, inflammation and won't throw for at least two weeks.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Author Posted April 1, 2025 Senga not off to a good start
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 (edited) I was hoping for the Senga/Senger battery, but I guess Torrens is on such a torrential run right now that Mendoza chose to go with that semi-homophone pair instead. Edited April 1, 2025 by Guest
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Down 4-2 on 2 unearned runs. But that deficit looks like it might as well be down by 10.Later
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Vientos not exactly busting it out of the box there.I fear an Alvarez-like (Alvarezian?) regression this year from #27.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Three perfect innings by Kranick on 22 total pitches!!Now if only the rest of the team didn't collectively decide to suck and hitting and fielding tonight.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Polar Pete avoids the double play. Yay
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 RallyOr as they sometimes say, rallye.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Tough night for Senga. Big E-6s by Lindor reallly screwed up an otherwise strong outing.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 The first error didn't hurt thanks to Torrens's caught stealing. Real nice tag by Acuna btw on that CS. Not quite Ordonez/Baez level, but purdy darn good.Thought Senga was going to get past the second Lindor E-6 too. He got the next two outs but then went: BB - 2-RBI 2BPretty good game overall but that 2-out 2B and the early 2R HR were both shots and they did him in.
