Supposedly it's to be rookie right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach: 19 starts; 7-7; 3.61 ERA; 1.103 WHIP

Been good in four of this last five starts but doesn't go real deep into games: 4.2, 5.2, 5.0, 6.0, 6.0

After that it's Sale then Fried

Schwellenbach dominated the Mets the Saturday after the Senga game. 7 IP, 0 ER, 11K.

He's been much better in the second half than he was in the first half. Hopefully they get to him this time.

I didn't know there was a trend. Maybe if he's not able to bend and stretch without discomfort, he can help the team as a DH.

But I certainly can't see the point in upsetting myself. It scares the dog.

Sure. I understand there is pessimism that he will be available the rest of the season.

The Mets, on the other hand, have a two-game advantage on the Braves, a half-game advantage on the Diamondbacks, and the only Acuña currently playing MLB baseball.

I am trying to project confidence but I still have the 2022 tire tracks across my back and buttocks and it's making me leery.

I have to have more faith in the unsung guys that have gotten the Mets this far, and they're are many

I feel like Lucy just pulled the ball away from Charlie Brown again when it comes to availability

Hey, I've sung about all of them.

I'm kind of sorry not to see Eddy Alvarez out there this evening, seeing as this is the only righthander they are expecting to see.

Albies is listed as a switch hitter but he's also just recently back from a wrist injury and is only hitting left-handed these days (subject to change).

I thought that was just something you wore to get sympathy tips when you gig out.
