Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Gary pleading for bullpen help. Preaching to the choir, reverend.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 =ashie62 post_id=161786 time=1720462887 user_id=90]The bullpen is a mess. This is just another day
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Gotta fix that dirt at home plate. Somebody is going to get hurt.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 A lot of infield tricklers and the Mets finally beat one out.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 What a hot steaming pile of doggie-poo the game has turned into while I was away for a while.Maybe Houser is one of those relievers who is better starting an inning than inheriting runners.Later
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Author Posted July 8, 2024 They will be home taking on the Nats tomorrow in a series they really need to winThe trade deadline is still something that hangs over their heads and could go either wayThe bullpen needs a fix asap. Moving Baty for a serviceable arm would be my way to start anyway.Win more games
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 The trade deadline, of course, hangs over everybody's heads.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 On the bright side, I have Mitch Keller on my fantasy team.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 That post was neither particularly literal nor particularly unrelaxed.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Feels like it's hanging over my head, too. Tracky sez the missus is looking to upgrade.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 If the Mets go for it this year, I have a hunch it's going to end up A LOT like 2021, when they brought on Baez and Hill and ended up going 77-85.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I can see that happening. I hope they find a way to upgrade the bullpen without giving up any top prospects. And maybe they can be better with more Iglesias and less McNeil. Who knows?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 I got borked by Hulu on this one. Watched innings 1-4 on DVR, in the 5-6 PM hour while getting some kitchen prep done. Had to leave to go watch my kids play a volleyball game at 7. Came home to cook a late dinner and I was not able to pick up my recording where I left off. I did see that SNY had a replay of the game starting at 8 PM, maybe this prevented my recording from working, but I already had watched those innings and I'm not staying up to 11 PM to watch a game that already happened.Plus they lost so w/e

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 This was hard to watch. Poor Orze.
