ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Two in a row that is Luis Severino vs Jordan Montgomery on the hill Jose Iglesias will be starting at second tonight
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Last time the Mets won won in a row was .......May 8th Let's go
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Down 0-2 in the first and the inning's not over.Later
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 3-0 them right out of the box
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Wow they actually managed to unfuck this first inning
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 I didn't know that Martinez could score from first, but he didn't even look winded. The Mets are hitting this guy all over the place.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Asking for catcher's interference on a checked swing doesn't really seem to be in the spirit of things.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 Entirely too long on this review
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 The lettering on the Mets jerseys is purple as opposed to orange? Why and when
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 Iglesias looks terrible tonight
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Iglesias having a bit of trouble turning two
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 It's not purple, it's just an illusion caused by the blue, orange and black clashing without the white shadow in between the orange and blue.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 I thought Bader's double would be an easy triple once it skipped past Gurriel.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 I've only seen bits and pieces but this is crazy-ass game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 With the Mets stacking the lineup with righthanded bats that have been knocking Montgomery all over the park, I would have figured that the Diamondbacks would have lifted him two innings ago for a righty. Then I remembered they lost their starter in the first yesterday and burned most of their pen. And with their AAA team all the way back in Reno, getting reinforcements into New York isn't easy. One of the most overlooked strategies in baseball — chasing the starter early in Game One of a series.Or, in the Mets case, being fortunate enough to see him chased by the fates.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 So Baty and Navares were the problem?
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 No fucking way! 49er Gene was #18. Viking Gene was #84. I know my Gene Washingtons and l'll know this till the day I die.But I appreciate the reference. Never thought I'd hear it during a local Mets broadcast.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 To avoid confusion, I think one of the Logan Allens should be forced to change his name to Allen Logan.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 That's some easy-lookin' opposite field power from JDM
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Maybe it was the clubhouse meeting.Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Two innings to go and I'm starting to think we've got a shot at this one.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 I'm thinking of having a clubhouse meeting of my own.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 May be dammed, let's get three outs and put a bow on this.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Everything up this inning from Reid-Foley, and now we're going to Reed Garrett with two on.Damned if it isn't over until it's over.
