After canceling my three-month trial of Apple TV+ they gave me opportunities to get another three months free which I (belatedly)

realized I could have used to catch some Friday Night Baseball early in this season. But I'm going to be out of town this whole weekend

anyway so it hardly matters and I wanted to cut ties as soon as possible. So I'll try to catch some via (streaming) radio and hope for

the best.



Cards (11-14 and coming off their first losing season this century) are sucking so far this season on the offensive side (26th in RS/G)

and are only somewhat better on the run preventing end (23rd)

Paul Goldschmidt, in particular, is off to a rough start [.200/.294/.278] (are you effin' kidding me?!?), hot 2nd year OF prospect Jordan

Walker [497 OPS] has been sent down and their best hitter has been C Willson Contreras but he's been limited to mostly DH





Mike Mikolas [rough start] (Fri), Sonny Gray [very good start] (Sat), and Lance Lynn [good] (Sun) are the projected starters.

I just looked at AppleTV on the streamtv I watch to see if I could re-up

again for a seven-day free trial but it greeted me by name and wants ten

smackers to fire it up. It's a decent channel, and Palm Royale is supposed to

be a pretty good show (I don't read the urine thread so not sure if that's been

covered), but jeez with all the savings we try to do here picking and choosing

this and that -- we're spending more on everything not saving.

After my phone got stolen in Chile I got a new one which gave me 3 months of Apple TV for free which I activated right before the first Mets game there. I'm good til July 4.
