Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Didn't see a balk coming.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Squirrel slaps one into the corner!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 Classic McNeil.I don't care if he ever hits another homer again, as long he hits 'em where they ain't.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Bloops and Balks, aka: a NYM rally! All we need is a bases-loaded BB and the BINGO card will be filled.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Nimmo's due for a grand slam, I think.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 I'd've been tempted to pinch-hit Taylor there even if it meant burning the DH.But Narváez hung in there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 Nimmo should've bunted it to Joe.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 Jorge doing his best Reed Garrett impersonation.Who is your ninth-inning guy?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 Snuffy Smith on for the save.He should enter to "Narco" anyhow, and mess with everybody's heads.

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Fingers crossed. Smith has closed before (sparingly).
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Henry Davis is one in a long line of underwhelming #1 overall picks.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Reid Garrett, NYM Wins leader
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Very enjoyable game. Mets are rolling
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Weird game. Pulling Jones after 59 pitches probably cost the Buccos, but we'll take it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 Only concern will be post-game reports on Baty.I don't envy Derek Shelton facing the media tonight.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 And while you understand the reasoning behind pulling him [Jones], sometimes common sense takes a holiday in these decisions.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 We don't want him to pitch too much. Why?Well, we don't want him to throw more than 140 innings. Why?Well, he only threw 120 innings last year. Why?Because we didn't want him to pitch too much. Why?Well, it's about winning.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 It doesn't matter how nice a day it was, nighttime at Citifield is brutal. Hat and gloves by the 9th.Every concession stand on the promenade was closed except for the hot dog/burger/chicken finger ones and the premio sausage cart. I got a Miller High Life and a chicken and noodles from the Seoul Bird in the club.Had no idea why Pittsburgh would take out their guy, he could have gone 11 innings before the Mets hot anything hard.Pretty cool that Wendle had the biggest hit of the night.New at Citifield is the light show they did during a pitt pitching change. Also the scoreboard tells you the hometown of every player so i learned that Jack Suwinski is from Chicago and Jared Triolo is from Nashua, NH.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 17, 2024 Author Posted April 17, 2024 Well, he wasn't taken out of the Syracuse game last night, so if I'm his manager, I'm telling him to keep on keeping on.He's friends with Baty, so I imagine (hope) he's not hoping for an injury. I suspect that, if there is no need caused by injury, and his continued performance nonetheless forces a callup, Zack Short could be the one on the hot seat.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Baty not looking at an IL stint, per Mendoza.
