Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 If DJ Stewart is the reserve outfielder who hits, I'm the reserve outfielder who catches stuff. But I also hit pretty impressively for most of the spring before tailing off at the end. I guess it's that all-round goodness that has my reserve outfielder ass coming up in this exercise before Starling Marte's starting ass.Listen, if baseball is a fight, you don't want to bet against somebody named "Tyrone." Guys named Tyrone always get up off the mat. Always. But what happens when I get back on my feet is still an open question. That's why I'm asking you to close it by telling me FACTS about how my 2024 is going to play out.[FIMG=263]https://metsmerizedonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/GHpZov8V.jpg-large.jpeg[/FIMG] [FIMG=437]https://img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-images/image/upload/ar_16:9,g_auto,q_auto:good,w_1024,c_fill,f_jpg/mlb/g6z2cztqevxlyjhykeyw[/FIMG][FIMG=350]https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/03/new-york-mets-right-fielder-77442078.jpg?w=1024[/FIMG] [FIMG=350]https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/240226taylor.jpg?w=1024[/FIMG]
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 47 games. 52 at bats. 3 runs. 6 hits. 3 doubles. 2 walks. 17 strikeouts. (I'm lazily taking Albert Almora's numbers from 2021.)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 28, 2024 Author Posted March 28, 2024 I think lazy references of prior dudes is the way to go. It keeps the events within the walls of Club Realism.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 .267/.337/.481That's Eric Valent's rates from 2004.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 29, 2024 Author Posted March 29, 2024 I guess that kind of implies that Harrison Bader is going to be an Opening Day scratch in center.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 We will see much of him when Bader goes down350 ab 18 hr 58 rbi .265 ops .805
