Hi, I'm Max Scherzer and I give up leads and make early exits.
And I make $43M this year and will make $43M next year because I have an "opt-out" clause and there's no way anyone else would pay me even half that much.

The Mets could have scored five runs that first inning. Severino is fooling nobody.

And he's outlasted Scherzer with a potential W in his future.

Not to put a damper on things too early ... but do we have a come from behind win all year?

Absolutely.

Goddamnit nimmo. What the hell. I expect better.

He was damned near caught on camera mouthing a very bad word, to match his very bad failure to catch that fucking fly ball.

I thought that Buck had tightened everything up but they're getting called for time violations and lead MLB is sticky-related ejections.

Curtiss was docked "ball one" b/c he didn't have his PitchCom connected on time when he was rushed into the game.

Multiple chances to score and no one even gets a ball out of the infield.

I feel like I've typed that line in every game this year.

Lindor doesn't have confidence in Lindor at the moment.

Pathetic

3/15 w/RiSP, more than a few of those with multiple RiSP. Yet those produced just 4 runs [McNeal single x 2, Baty single, Guillorme single]. The other 2 runs came via Nimmo driving himself in plus a GiDP ball that the Yanx failed to turn.

Our XBH quota was filled on the 2nd pitch of the game.

I assume that the record for losing games with five run leads in the same week is seven or less but that's at least four for us so maybe this gives us the honors on that front.

I question why Pham batted against a righty in the ninth with a lefty on the bench in Vogelbach. I question why he batted despite a lefty on the bench and him already being in the midst of a lousy game, coming to the plate oh-for-four with two strikeouts — soon to be oh-for-five with three strikeouts.

I question why Escobar ran for Álvarez. Was there that great a speed opportunity in the situation? Was the speed edge there that great, since we were burning two guys to replace one, thereby not having two lefties on the bench in the ninth, and not having Álvarez in the lineup at all?

I can't call any of these decisions unjustifiable, but I have these questions.
