whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Whoa! What was that all about?
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 I always liked Cabrera, but that was a totally classless move. Asdrubal kind of "sucker punched him". I saw in the comments that it was the hitters 3rd home run of the game. I'm not a big fan of bat flips, but it seems there must have been more to it than that to cause such a reaction..
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Especially since Cabrera has a pretty iconic Mets bat flip of his own.https://sportshub.cbsistatic.com/i/2016/09/23/b9aa2f38-f2ab-4357-9c68-ad04ca7c7852/asdrubalbatflip092216.gif>
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Yeah, maybe he's changed his position on bat flips if that's the issue. On the other hand, he didn't seem to land that punch at all, and seemed to have kind of clotheslined the guy with his forearm on the follow-through.Man, do I miss the Edubray Ramos/Hector Neris-era Phillies pen.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Pretty wild recap. There was a lot more to this than I thought.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Yabbut, playing first base, carrying extra belly, at 37, in a winter league game, a year removed from his last MLB action, covered in ads from head to toe, and creating a dangerous situation by losing his head is probably not the swan song he wanted to write.
Nick Morabito Syracuse Mets - AAA CF On Tuesday, Morabito went 2-for-4 with a walk. He also stole his 23rd and 24th bases. Explore Nick Morabito News >
