Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Remember also that the Braves are TdA's third team after leaving the Mets. The Dodgers and Rays weren't real impressed either.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 The anti-Abrams ad came right after the chop. The pro-Abrams ad came in the next ad break.

I'm kinda missing him behind the plate about now.The guy stunk up the joint for two full seasons and then had a batting average of .087 and OPS+ of -33 in his first 25 ABs of the third when they let him go.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 We've moved way beyond 'Sorry' and have gone straight to 'Pathetic'.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 ATL calls up AA players and they keep hitting. The Mets call up minor leaguers and they need time to adjust. Billy's epic failures at the deadline lead to Vientos, Baty, and Alvarez getting big ABs when they should have been in the minors.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Well, we have 3 outs left in order to salvage this game. At least we will have the top of the order in the 9th. I'm not expecting much at this point.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 If it's a NYY-ATL WS I might not watch a pitch.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Not only have Swanson & Olson out-HR'd the entire Mets team but their HRs have out-XBH the entire Mets team.Mets have FOUR XBHs in this series, one 2B plus 3 HRs with the HRs being all solo.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Don't swing at the first pitch, Delroy Lindo!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Jansen's entire delivery feels like a balk
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 No sense in getting a ball out of the infield now.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 I don't believe that professional players "choke", sometimes the other player is better, but I'm reconsidering that position.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 And McNeil hacks also.Don't know how that is allowed to happen. But Boo.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 It hardly matters at this point because I'm it sure they'll win a game vz the Nats anyway.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Well, those 3 outs went pretty quick.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 I guess the positive is we know that Wednesday's game won't matter so they can line up... the same 3 pitchers that sucked this weekend for the WC series. Sigh.
