Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 That sounds like: 'Hey Donnie, ya wanna get behind this "mutual agreement" with us or do we simply fire your ass?'
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Ugh. Bottom of the 1st, ATL has a runner on 2B, flyball to the track, Marsh holds his arms out b/c of the SUN and perhaps his lack of sunglasses. the ball falls in and a run scores. there were 2 outs so it would have ended the inning. And it's followed by a double so it's 2-0 ATL.BUT PHI has scored 3 in the top of the 1st!

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Phillies come back in the fifth to go ahead only to have the game delayedwith two outs (and a complete game, if it comes to that) but the downpourgot kinda ridiculous. I was yelling at the TV, make a fucking out. I need help.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Bryce Harper leading off in the bottom of the 10th with a runner on second. Time for him to earn those Bryce Harper bucks!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Harper intentionally walked.Yay! I don't have to root for Harper!
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Intentional walk. Nevermind.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Time for Alec Bohm to earn that Alec Bohm money?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Alex Bohm does not get the job done.Jackson Stephens, who needs a first name, done struck him out.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Now we're counting on Brandon Marsh.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Welp! Now it goes to the 11th. Damn you, Phillies!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 I've been watching the Phillies for way longer than I had prepared for today.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Braves still batting up 8-6. Thanks for nothing, Phillies!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 Phils down two and down to their last out.J.T. Realmuto as the tying run at bat
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 RBI Single up the middle .Nick Maton as the winning run at batJTR on 1st
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Realmuto singles to driv in the "silly" runner. Phillies still down a run with 2 outs. Since they pinch ran for Schwarber, the game falls on the shoulders of Nick Maton.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 Strike Three and the Braves Win
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 And Maton strikes out swinging. Stupid Phillies. Braves win.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 Apparently, ESPN thinks what baseball fans need to hear during an actual game is an ongoing live interview with Harrison Bader whose insights into the NYY/BOS rivalry are key based on him being part of the Yanx going back to sometime last week.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 I gotta hand it to Spike Lee. As Judge is up there trying for his 61st HR, Spije was one of the few people actually watching the action live. The rest all seemed to be content to pay large chunks of money to watch the game through a tiny screen.Funny how the guy who operates cameras for a living chose not to do so there. Other patrons should perhaps take the hint.Judge walked.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 Seattle, looking to break their 21 year post-season-less drought, took an 11 - 1 lead into the bottom of the 6th in KC ... and then gave up 11 !!! to the Royals in the bottom half.Final score, KCR 13 - M's 12
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 PHI, as noted above, had 1st and 2d, none out in the 10th and didn't score. PHI lost 5 of 7 to ATL. Ph*ck them.
