Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 That batboy looks like Vogelbach's fatter brother.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Vogelzoik has one career triple (achieved this season as a Pirate), zero career steals, and zero career steal attempts. That's a man that stays in his lane.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 unlike the Mets, the Brewers are on board with the more much reasonable 6:40 local start.Early weeknight starts are terribly inconvenient for attendees. I guess people watching at home like them more?no it's not. It's the diff between like a 10-10:30 end time and a 9:30-10 end time, which can easily be the difference between getting home at a semi-reasonable hour and not. On the other end it's a a good 100 minutes after the end of the "typical" work day. If you need more time than that to get to the park, you're likely outside the target area. And it's not like the rush hour gets better for 7:10.

Fans-in-seats numbers for 7:10 starts are considerably lower than they are at 7:30. Change the start time and that problem gets worse.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 We know that Scherzer isn't going to have a problem adjusting to the pitch clock next year. He's just getting it and chucking it tonight.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 If any of the relievers need a visit to the mound, Jeremy Hefner should just sit still and send Scherzer out.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Buck could go with Lugo/Ottavino/Diaz but instead is going Megill.

Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Magill has experience in combined special games!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Well, there goes the no-hitter.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 So, Megill may need to scrape off some rust.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Max Scherzer: "If you've got to pull me with a perfect game, Buck, then that's what you've got to do. But next time, I get to pick who relieves me."I'm glad Keith corrected himself on that "Officer Muldoon" business. He and I were about to have words.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Slightly off-topic for a moment, but you gotta like a mid-west/west coast road trip with only one game post-8 PM7:40 start again tomorrow, then day games Wednesday plus Saturday & Sunday in Oakland. Only the Friday night 9:40 start vs A's is a problem time for me (and, I'm assuming, many of you as well).
