Jake and Johan Oviedo (RHP) faced each other in the night game of the day/night doubleheader in PIT. Oviedo didn't fare so good, going 1 2/3 and giving up 4 ER. Jake went 7 shutout innings, striking out 8.

Lindor Ks. Mets now 0 for their last 17 with bases loaded. I guess we need to hope for a walk or wild pitch.

If the Pirates starter hadn't walked the Mets in bunches, the Mets would probably be trailing right now. This team needs to start hitting, particualrly with RISP.

I've always said that Individual LOB tells a story when that number get too

high. Stopped bringing it up, usually shot down by the adoring pitch-framing

fans et Al who don't understand the strike zone isn't where the catcher moves

his mitt to instead of where it crosses the plate. Robots will fix that.
