So what have the Rox been up to since we took two of three at their place back in mid-May?

Losing mostly. In last place in the NL West and on pace for a 70-win season.

Remember when many of us were told, when we were learning baseball back in the day, how a 2/1 K/BB ratio was good for a pitcher?

Now it's a small sample size and times have changed things a bit, but deGrom is currently carrying a 39/1 ratio for this truncated season.

And that was three innings ago. It's up to like 44 to one by now.

He really seems to be grinding out a solid start here with less than his best start.



He's certainly shown he can do that, but it's just been such a rarity that he's had to in recent years.



I hope there's no discomfort. Otherwise, this may be a real positive.



He sure seems unhappy, though.

I definitely lift him if he gets on mid-game (like he just did). You have two starting quality bats on your bench and no pitcher to pinch-hit for, so why not?

And yeah, I try to get another out or two out of deG. before lifting him. Every one counts.
