Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 7:10 EDT Rookie RH Ryan Feltner [12 G, 11 Starts, 5.88 ERA, 1.39 WHIP] vs Jacob deGromSo what have the Rox been up to since we took two of three at their place back in mid-May? Losing mostly. In last place in the NL West and on pace for a 70-win season.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Mets need to fatten up here, obviously.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Early lineup out today, they mean business! VogelBOOM batting fifth at DH.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Was kinda hoping Jake would lead off.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 A Taijuan Walker slider and 99 on the gun so far.He can work with that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 Remember when many of us were told, when we were learning baseball back in the day, how a 2/1 K/BB ratio was good for a pitcher? Now it's a small sample size and times have changed things a bit, but deGrom is currently carrying a 39/1 ratio for this truncated season.39 to ONE !!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 The Mets offense is going to stiff Jake again l?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 That might have been the worst 3-0 semi-pitch-around pitch Ever. Missed his spot by maybe a foot or more.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 And that was three innings ago. It's up to like 44 to one by now.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 He really seems to be grinding out a solid start here with less than his best start. He's certainly shown he can do that, but it's just been such a rarity that he's had to in recent years.I hope there's no discomfort. Otherwise, this may be a real positive. He sure seems unhappy, though.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I'm up for sending Ruf or Cahna in to run here.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Well, they'd have a run here if they had pinch-run.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Vogelbach takes slow to an entirely new level.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Yeah, he's Vogelhurt on top of being Vogelslow.I definitely lift him if he gets on mid-game (like he just did). You have two starting quality bats on your bench and no pitcher to pinch-hit for, so why not?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 And yeah, I try to get another out or two out of deG. before lifting him. Every one counts.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 I don't like the trend of this game.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Whew. Can we get some more runs, please? This is tighter than it should be.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 So, who do you like for the eighth?May? Otto? Givens? Joely?Clay?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 Yeah, we're a terrible pitch to Alonso from being in a 1-1 tie and, as in the MFY games, are leaving small villages stranded.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I'm about done watching Baty flail around up there while Vientos continues to murder AAA pitching.
