Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Appreciate the effort, Lindor, but Steve Austin couldn't have gotten that ball to first in time. You've got to eat that grounder.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Pinch-hitting for your catchers is easier to do when you have three of 'em.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Naquin whiffed without seeing a strike. He chased two out of the zone and ump gave the Yanks a gifty called strike.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Could have used the rain. Could have used something good by the biggest names except Max was eh, Pete stunk, and Lindor cost them a big run. Onto tomorrow night.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Yeah I did not enjoy it. They were flat from the get-go.Also thanks to the WPIX fuckitude I had to endure the MLB network broadcast. I was not able to find a stream of the WPIX call, but at least didn't have to suffer through the YES network. Just the actual game.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Max was never right in this game, from the very start. He gutted it out, but I expect more for Uncle Steve's $43 million.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 I'm trying to get used to it, but the "Uncle Steve" thing still makes me feel icky.
