There's no reason to panic just yet, but it's worth noting that Escobar just returned to the Mets' lineup on Monday following a two-game absence due to a minor left oblique issue. Hopefully the move is merely out of an abundance of caution. There should be some clarity on his status shortly. It'll be Deven Marrero taking over at third base on Tuesday night in his absence.

The Syracuse Mets are at Charlotte today. The Charlotte airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, is the hub of at least one major airline and has 115 gates (the most in the country).



You'd think he could find a seat on a flight that gets him to Atlanta (another major hub) by some time in tonight's game. There must be a gazillion flights between the two airports daily.
