Oh look, it's the Marlins again. They are playing them as frequently as they do in ST.

Castano pitched well against the Mets on June 28. JD will likely start against the LHP and it's time for him to get it going.

I gotta say, again, that I was WERRIED that the Mets had lost a little something when we first encountered the Marlins, only to be pleasingly astonished at how shitty they were at baseball, and that was a gift that kept us from going into this series as a second place team.

We can't count on the other teams being shittier than us all time though. Sometimes you have play well too, and I think that's gotta be the message coming off a way-too-hairy Reds series.

Like the Braves, the Fish are 7-3 in their last ten games. They kinda woke up

since we last saw them. I think they got Ohtani'd yesterday though.

Can't see him having much trade value. They'd have to throw in a big bag

of Francisco's designer cleats to sweeten the deal or something.

He probably just means swapped into the rotation.

Depending on potential upcoming deals, Williams is likely to remain in the bullpen if and when he's no longer starting.

If the Mets can actually field a deGrom-Scherzer-[CROSSOUT]Williams[/CROSSOUT]Walker-Carrasco-Peterson rotation, even for a few weeks, it'll be hard to acquire a pitcher good enough to break that up. A veteran with a CV, even if he's now merely on a par with Peterson, would still have the juice to bump him to the bullpen, though. And then we'd have Rockin' Doc's second lefty.

Peterson's next start is going to be important to the rest of his season.

I think you mean "Walker" in that third paragraph instead of "Williams"?

Could be, nice to have options

Rojas stretches a single into a double, sprinting out of the box. Kept his eyes on Marte the whole time, too.

I'm not comfortable seeing the Marlins in a uniform I don't hate.

Also, nice pick by Lindor, but his lack of urgency almost let Berti beat that out.

I had the same reaction. Seemed a little casual once he picked it up.

Damned close. Thought Berti beat it out at first glance.

Miami announcers ripping Rojas for trying to nail Lindor at 1B, but a throw on target would have nabbed him. Single, E-6, no RBi but a run scores

I have no faith in you, Trevor. Prove me wrong. Giving up 3 runs in 3 2/3 or some such isn't going to cut it.

You gotta have faith-a-faith-a-faith-faith.

I'm using MFS62 reverse psychology. You're welcome.
