Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Francisco Lindor expected to recover from being attacked by a hotel room door to give the Mets some sorely needed RBIs.Chris Bassitt vs Tyler Anderson tonight at 10:10. Let's get these bastages.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 shake off that travel dust and crush some pitchers.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Couple thoughts...I'm teetering between WERRY and outright PANIC CITY on Nimmo. He's had these wrist injuries before, and it's taken him considerable time to get back. He's been garbage since taking the weekend off.The Lindor thing was just bullshit.Alonso looked like he understood those things all too well and took it with him to the plate, looking awful.Along with what I think is a desperate need to bolster the back-end starting pitching reliability, anyone think the Mets might wanna look for short-term catching help?
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 _is_ there short term catching help? Is there ANY catching help? Arguably it would've been something worth targeting in the offseason too. I do still think the Mets need another bat, probably an OF one so they rest Nimmo or whoever, especially if they're gonna cycle Canha at first sometimes. I'll need to see another game or two from Nimmo before I worry though, a few days off, and then a cross country trip. Might just need a minute to catch up.I assume Lindor is fine or we wouldn't have gotten so many injury details or Cohen making jokes about it. It's McNeil I'm a little worried about. They keep calling it "load management" and such, which seems like a cover.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I'm only a little werried about McNeil but yeah, didn't like the way he's been moving, which is important because in addition to hitting out of his mind again he'd been fielding great too, and that could become a drawback again if his legs aren't getting it done.I've barely looked at catchers but Alvarez would be a leap and probably not good for us or him right now. Tyler Stephenson is hitting for the Reds tho!

roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I have a lot of faith in Nimmo. Consistently high OBP guys like him who can field help ya even when they ain't hitting.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Since no one else has said it, I'm glad to see Lindor back in there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I'm getting a little antsy to see some West Coast Plummer action.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Is that Meryl Streep in the front row?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 That does look like Streep next to Mary Hart, but I'm guessing no.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Looking inauspicious so far, but Lindor somehow didn't seem to be wincing after fouling off pitches.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Looks like it's another night of catchup.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 They ain't making the other guys make plays like they have most of the year.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 No runs on four hits over 13 innings against not exactly All-Star pitchers.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 When do we think there might be some hits? Asking for 9 friends.

This year, he's dominating, all over the top of the leaderboards, leading the NL in ERA and 6-0. He's better than all-star caliber this year.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I got a late nap and made it into the 6th, but I'm cooked and they haven't done shit so I'm going to bed.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I crashed on the couch seconds after the 🔔 inger HR. Now I'm awake and pissed off
