Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Feel disrespected, Eduardo. Make them pay.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 If the Phils want to keep pounding grounders at our infielders, I'm not gonna stop 'em.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Who is the Philadelphia pitcher who, 10 years ago tonight, was the losing pitcher the night of Jeremy Hefner's first major league win, but also gave up Hefner's first major league homer?

It seemed to me as though the entire Mets organization was never more focused these past few years than the way they were focused on the stupid home run derby.I feel so good that it would appear to be a small priority this year, based on the attention they are finally paying to the regular season
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 16 of 18 Philly outs tonight are either GO or KLast out out of the infield was the 2nd out of the 2nd
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I think Eduardo is right about this Smith hbp. He's so lost up there near strikes are hitting him

But that's sort of a separate point. Mine us that ESPN doesn't like baseball and so thinks that the HR Derby is the season highlight. Why would anyone want to watch a fucking game of baseball. their reasoning goes, when you can watch some manufactured pseudo-drama.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Smith just broke a finger 😬
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I'm all about amputation for Smith. He could be ready to go tomorrow
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Mets now interrupting America's Funnrest Home Videos.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Is ESPN showing "Baseball for Dummies"?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Not for nothing but Pete could potentially get Joe Girardi fired in this coming at-bat
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I hate this broadcast team. Drew Smith's pinky looked like a crooked dwarf pecker grafted onto his hand.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I think the Phils' last division hopes are on the line right here, but I didn't realize Girardi was dangling. That would be something.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Whew.Nothing could be dumber than to hit the ball to Plummer.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Good thing for Plummer that he opted to catch that one.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 0-2 pitch. Awful. The bats have been silent since the 1st. Time to wake up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Giving up 0-2 homers is almost always a bad idea.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Drew Smitty reportedly suffered a dislocation but not a fracture, and will be day-to-day.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Alright, time to strap em on and humiliate these palookas again
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Two cracks at it.Gotta get it done.
