Rule change: if a RP comes in with a lead, gives up said lead, and then his team scores to make him the winning pitcher, the RP's win reverts to the pitcher who had the lead when that RP entered the game.

Then we'd have to give Phil Regan a new nickname.

Miami, Washington, and Atlanta all win, and Phillies are beating the Dodgers 8-3 in the seventh, so the Mets averted losing a game to the entire division.

Good win.

DiComo with a shoutout to the crowd. I don't attend as many games as he does but it *was* a good crowd.

I officially declare this (in retrospect cuz I didn't say it at the time) to be a "Big" save opportunity for Diaz.

"I'll say it again: this is easily the best and most animated crowd that Citi Field has hosted this season -- maybe even since before the pandemic.

Fans waited through a 68-minute rain delay, we're getting on toward midnight, and it's still crazy loud with every pitch."

Translation: They were good and drunk

Disagree. Did not see evidence of that anywhere near me. No fights/bad behavior/streams of obscenities - the kinds of things one does see when the crowd is over-served.

I have no doubt the Mets sold some beers last night but “good and drunk” is a bad way to describe it from afar.

Yeah loved that big guy passed out on his girlfriend's shoulder. One too many Blue Points.

She deserved some PotG support.
