Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Down two in the ninth with the tying runs on base and one out. Here comes Plummer!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Plummer is the guy I want up in this situation
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Double play, and we're dunn.Plum disappointing is what that is.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2022 Author Posted March 20, 2022 Oh well, still fun to see.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Who's the Mets closer this year?
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 The TV shebang.https://twitter.com/zey97/status/1504503839306633216Thanks. I might still get Channel 11
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I'm watching it now on delay. It's great to see a Mets game and hear GKR with the call
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 It was a damn good game with GKR, too. Keith sometimes gets a little aphasia-stuck on a word here and there, but Ron and Gary seem afraid to help him out, perhaps partially out of respect and partially out of not wanting to interrupt his thoughts.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Tuesday's 6 PM broadcast also being touted as JdG's spring debut. So that'll be some must-watch TV for me
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Scherzer's Spring debut as a Met is available here:https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/2022/03/21https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/2022/03/21via Marlins radio because the Marlins have radio broadcasts of every spring game.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 We're in the bottom of the fifth of a game against the Marlins. Max Scherzer has gone the distance (!!) so far, giving up one run on three hits, but that's enough for Miami to lead 1-0.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Max Meyer has gone four hitless innings for the Marlins. Teutonic pitchers are mowing 'em down everywhere!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 This getting one-hit through seven is way to familiar a memory.Marlins up, 3-0.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2022 Author Posted March 21, 2022 Showalter clearly has no clue how to get the most out of this team.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Jake Mangum leads off the ninth with the team's second hit!#ShowalterGenius

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Pitchers look good. I'd be happy to see some more hitting. Not much tonight besides a flub RBI for Lindor and a less than impressive sac fly by McNeil.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Don't the Mets have enough left handed hitters? Why is JD Davis hitting that way?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Two really impressive plays to watch in third inning. On the first one, Jeff McNeil fields a bouncer on the shortstop side of second, he briefly thinks of tossing it behind his back to Lindor, but the angle is bad and Chisholm is bearing down on second, so he instead rears back and throws it to first, uncharacteristically strong. The next batter drove the ball to the wall in center, and also uncharacteristically, Brandon Nimmo went back full-bore and caught up with the ball jumping into the fence a la Juan Lagares.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
