I suspect that he is referring to the guilty verdict of the LAA employee who distributed drugs to the late Tyler Skaggs.

Good riddance, then, if he was so miserable. He should take into account the fact that like 97% of the Mets fans thought he was great, but, you know, shit on all of us, it's fine, whatevs

There was a 2nd tweet where he said some nonsense about Mets fans. I think he pulled it since then, I can't find it, but it's out there.

OE: "Very very thankful to be out of there for several reasons. God always got me. Beyond excited to perform for an incredible fanbase who appreciates their players! @Cubs"

Aw, uh, eat shit, my man.

I'm not sure how much blame I'm willing to give to Billy Eppler for Skaggs' death. I'm not even sure how much blame I'm willing to give Eric Kay.

While it's clear that the Angels failed Tyler Skaggs at some level, the Mets have failed any number of their own players in the same manner, as so many institutions of society continue to fail the drug abusers in their ranks every day. My best friend from childhood has seen his life spiral in the last several years — losing a solid career in publishing following several bouts with heroin abuse and a torrid affair with the co-worker who introduced it to him. The employer gave him two leaves of absence to get himself detoxed and rehabbed, but on the third strike they let him go. Were they remiss in not cutting him loose earlier, exposing other workers to his toxic bullshit, or were they cruel and uncompassionate when they finally cut bait? It sounded to me like they did their best, but if he died in their employ, could his family sue the company because a co-worker was his partner in debauchery? Indeed, she introduced him to it.

I can guess at what my responsibility is when I'm confronted by that sort of shit, but there are no easy answers. And most folks are just looking to pass the buck.

Sounds to me that Stroman was already pissed off about something (lack of contract offer?) or about several somethings, and is using the Eppler hire (not exactly timely now, eh Marcus?) or whatever else he can conjure up as an excuse to tee off on the org in general.

Stroman adds to his rant by claiming he regularly received death threats and racial taunts while pitching in New York and that the front office was indifferent.

Tweet: “Endless death threats, being called a n—– often, hearing black lives don't matter, and playing for a front office who didn't care about any of that,”
