Quick and (at least partially) easy - name the four Norms who have been named to at least one All-Star team.

Usual rules apply - one guess per post, no consecutive guessing.

Norm ________ : 1961, 1966, 1971, 1972 All-Star teams

Norm ________ : 1992

Norm ________ : 1962, 1963, 1964

Norm ________ : 1960

Of course! Point for Dinosaur Jesus. The other ones are a little more nasty.

Norm Cash : 1961, 1966, 1971, 1972 All-Star teams

Norm ________ : 1992

Norm ________ : 1962, 1963, 1964

Norm ________ : 1960

And the 'pool went down just as I was completing my post.

Point for Gwreck, who may or may not have noted the embedded "nasty" hint. And point for Fafif for getting the one ex-MFY who went beyond the Norm.

I'd never heard of the fourth one before looking up the Norms for this kwiz. It wasn't Norm Sherry.

Norm Cash : 1961, 1966, 1971, 1972 All-Star teams (Dino Jesus)

Norm Charlton : 1992 (Gwreck)

Norm Siebern : 1962, 1963, 1964 (Fafif)

Norm ________ : 1960

Norms who never surpassed the Norm:

Norm Sherry (Ashie)

And the cards have been flipped. It's a four way tie, but I have to give batmags props for even having heard of Norm Larker.

Now I'm annoyed a little bit that I needed the Dodger hint to solve the quiz. Also, it looks like it was popular to name your baby boy Norman in the 1930s.

Here's another early 60s famous Norman (1960) - Bates.

Yeah, I was stumped and looked him up.

Guesses I was chewing on: Van Brocklin, Peterson, McDonald, Schwarzkopf, Snead.

I admire this quiz, from its impetus to its composition to its answers. Goes well beyond the norm.

I almost guessed Norm Zauchin, who had a pretty good Rookie year in the early 50's, but the 1960 year in the question quashed that.
