That is a huge moment. I think Dom is better than McCann, current struggles included. You can't tell me that Nido vs McCann is a massive difference offensively.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 in fairness to stroman that's a great bit of work. here's hoping he finishes the job.

Quality work Marcus Stroman.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 Mr. Stroman threw a man of an inning there.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Author Posted May 5, 2021 Maybe they shoulda ph smith for Lindor

duan Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 I'm not saying that he can't turn it around, but he's looking terrible right now that was our best opportunity to score multiple runs.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 and now lindor can't throw. {HEAD EXPLODES}

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 At least Nimmo is still on the active roster and isn't that what counts?
duan Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 that's true. the 3 man bench plus injured Nimmo wouldn't be my plan and I did point out the craziness of the makeup of the 40 man before. But 7 inning games are different. It isn't just the 'length' its the fact that the chances of getting into the weaker relievers is reduced and so on. I think you have to see bases loaded and nobody out, when you're down by two runs as an extremely high leverage moment.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 (edited) Two hits, kinda quattlebummed. Edited May 5, 2021 by Guest
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 This team is boring, overpaid, poorly managed, poorly run, a shitshow.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Author Posted May 5, 2021 And that's their good points. My igts also suck

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 No idea, but it's a pretty small sample size when emotions and rooting interest are tossed.

I know that and I'm not paid by MLB. Mound visits should only be allowed to remove a pitcher. No more of this "let's stop the game so everyone can watch us have a meeting in the middle of the playing field" garbage that only is permitted in baseball.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Well, honestly, business meetings in the middle of the field happen 90 times per game in football.I don't mind mound conferences. It's certainly kind of bullshit when they are used as a stalling tactic, but I think MLB is attacking the wrong thing there.
