Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Looks like the Mets may need a spot-starter on Saturday, at least if Thursday's and Friday's games get played. (DeGrom is scheduled for today and Lucchesi for Friday.)What are the options? Walker on short rest? Gsellman? Yamamoto? (Where is Yamamoto anyway?) Someone else?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 My phone just rang. It could be Rojas calling me to warm up.OE: It wasn't. Darn!Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I probably go with Gsellie. In another situation, they might launch Carlos Carrasco, but I doubt freezing weather in Colorado is the type of rehab they have in mind.Besides Yamamoto, the 40-man roster also includes Ben Grimm-fave Yennsy Díaz. Not on the roster, but experienced and sadly disposable, is Jerad Eickoff.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I'd think Yamamoto would be the guy if it came to that.
