I was in transit en route to Citi Field when the third DFA of Jerad Eickhoff — this time to clear space for Akeem Bostick — went down. But history should note it and now this thread does.

So, the Mets will add Javier Baez to the active roster today. Who goes to make room for him? If it's a position player, I guess it will be Brandon Drury, someone who really deserves to stay. Or would it be Guillorme or Villar? I'd rather see them shed a pitcher. They currently have 14 on the active roster. I would send Anthony Banda to Syracuse.



There's also going to be the question of uniform numbers. Will Baez get number 9, or will Nimmo retain the number?
