Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 The Phitin Phillies, whom we hate, and whom suck, are off to a 3-0 start after manslapping Atlanta all weekend. None of the hitters had monster weekends, here are the stats to date:Hoskins 1B 3/13 2 2B, 2R, 2 RBIsSegura 2B 3/12 1R 1 RBIGregorius SS 3/11 6KsBohn 3B 2/10 2 RBIsHarper RF 3/10 1 RMcCutchen LF 1/9Realmuto C 4/9 2 2B 1 RBIHaseley/Quinn CF combined 2/10 with one runThe starters that were out there for the opening set all did well -- quality starts by Nola, Elfin and Wheeler. Bullpen strong as well - wins by Jose Alvarado and Connor Brogdon in relief appearances. Overall in 27 IP they allowed just 3 earned runs total, none by the relievers. In fact their pen has gone 7.1 IP and allowed just 1 hit and 4 walks.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 I watched most of the game yesterday. Seemed like every close ball-strike call went the the Phillies' way and in close games that made a difference. Slow start for Freddy too but he's one of those inevitable productive guys.Seems like Braves are worse off going from a three close games sweep to a limbo proposition vs. Washington. It would suck to be their fan right now.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 I saw Acuna struck out looking in the 9th inning on a pitch that screamed "ROBO UMPS NOW!!"
