G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 While the Tampa Bay Bucs were winning the Super Bowl on February 7, Chasen Shreve chose said Sunday to stow away with the Bucs of Pittsburgh.A pretty good lefty out of the pen who didn't make me cringe upon his entrance. Seemed to start running out of magic late in the short season, so, you know, good luck as a Pirate.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Lots of memorializing these days. Mets Roster Central must be having a power outage or something. In the battle of the Greatest Chasen in Mets History, I'm calling it a dead heat between Shreve and Bradford. The fans are NOT happy.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Yeah got to a point where I began to trust him and only then did he prove untrustworthy. But I'm gonna say he overall was a good get as journeymen relievers go and wish him well as probably Pittsburgh's highest paid player.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2021 Author Posted February 12, 2021 Proprietary FAFIF research indicates Shreve and Rick Porcello are the first certified One-Year Wonders -- joined the club, made the Opening Day roster, never went off the active roster, then departed the premises after that one and only season -- since Alejandro De Aza in 2016. A little easier to earn the distinction when the One Year has only 60 games, but MLB had a World Series in 2020, so whatever.
