G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 The Buffalo will be a Tiger (one year, $2 million, or less than a tenth of a year of Realmuto). Not agile behind the plate, but when in a groove, he was a force at bat. I'll always appreciate what he added to the stretch almost-drive of 2019. Long hitting streak was impressive considering his position and his speed.Everybody experienced the difficulties of baseball played under 2020 conditions, but the separation from family seemed to affect Ramos particularly hard.Hope he and Ramirez are a highly charged Motown battery.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Not a bad player but a Met because Brodie and Jeff couldn't commit to options A or B, and his limitations behind the dish and age, which we all thought would show, sure enough showed.Feel like Sandy went to school on the musical chairs last time and secured a guy who brought D to the gameObliterated all of Tony Tarasco's records as the most productive Met hitter ever to wear No. 40.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Gots to be the only Met survivor of a mid-career kidnapping.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 In his second year, he seemed to slow down with the bat and in the field as maybe the weight as well as the age started creeping up on him. But he always seemed to be giving his best, and that is all you can want from a player. Wish him well.Later
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Happy memories, most of which associated with "the Wilson Ramos" game that Fboy and I (plus Seawolf & family) all attended https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/PIT/PIT201908030.shtmlin Pittsburgh in 2019, where he went 4 for 5 with a HR and 6 RBIs.
