smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Lucchesi makes Matz redundant, which make you wonder why he was tendered a contract in the first place. I suppose it's possible that they see one of them as being long relief/extra left arm, but they have a full pen of righties under contract and don't have a first lefty yet.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 They can still release Matz by some point in spring training and they won't be responsible for his salary, I think.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Any relation to Frank Lucchesi, the Rangers manager who was assaulted by Lenny Randle?
