My Canadian friend is a Blue Jays fan.

And his last name is Rogers.

He'll be pissed.

I think the Toronto Blue Jays may have more existential things to worry about.

If they can't operate out of Toronto by Opening Day, there are going to be a lot of cities looking to step in, and a lot of would-be owners looking to buy low.

I saw a game there once and was like, eh. Park was too symmetrical. The turf was the wrong shade of green and the dirt the wrong shade of brown. Everything was a double or a home run, no chance for triples on inside-the-parkies. Sat behind 3rd base mid-bowl and constantly was craning my neck to a scoreboard with the count and outs (only in the outfield that I saw) and the plate to catch the batter-pitcher confrontation.

Fans and amenities were fine but I felt the cool and handsome city of Toronto could do better

It says something when you think that, upon it's opening in 1989, McDonald's being a primary concessionaire was seen as a big step forward.

I went the season it opened, and the McDonald's was a big deal. I didn't see anything like that when we went in 2018, though there were some good food options.

I remember at the time, the video board was considered incredibly huge and state of the art. Now everyone has them.
