The third game of this four-game set sees Jake deGrom return after one missed start to face 24 y/o Pablo [CROSSOUT]Cruise[/CROSSOUT] Lopez already in his third season for Miami

The Mets beat Lopez ten days ago although he didn't pitched badly and has just a 2.25 ERA over his three starts. His ERA for the previous 21 starts in his career however is just south of 5.00

Lineups to follow, probably by someone who pays attention to Twitter ... iow, not me.

Every game against the Marlins I pay no mind to their manager and soon enough, every game, he gives me a reason to think, "shove it up your ass, Mattingly!"

This Pablo Lopey guy is on a roll.

It helps that he's only had to retire 5 innings worth of hitters in order to get thru 6 innings thx to GiDPs and other erased runners.

The Marlins are fast and the Mets have come up short on a few DP opportunities today.

They have to get their 27 outs one at a time. And here comes the first run.

The Marlins hit three potential GiDP balls here in the 7th inning yet we've turned those three into a total of two outs.

Our side, on the other hand, are real good at turning grounders into multiple outs.

I saw Pablo Cruise 3 years ago and I'm a fan but it was a long night. I could have used a crisp, hour-long hits set rather than a full headliner set with an intermission. There was a long gap where I just looked at my phone following the Mets while waiting for their 3 biggest hits:

And now back to the game.

Yeah, swing the bat, he got rung up twice on same pitch looking.

And then laughed.

During this pitching change, get into the fresh instrumental break here around 2:00 in, pianny/keyboard solo into "Yee-hah!" into geetar solo.

I take back what I said about Canó. Dom Smith is the guy whose at-bats I don't want to miss.

yup. Screw Cespedes, addition by subtraction creating ABs for this guy!

Also, when you name your kid 'Josh Smith' do you imagine he'll be in a class or on a baseball team with another Josh Smith one day?

One of them should change their name to something more exciting like Josh Satin

Satin is too close to Satan which would be frowned upon in Florida where you can't call yourselves the "Devil Rays"
