Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Looks like everyone else is on an IGT losing streak so I guess it's up to me.Robert Gsellman vs Jordan YamamotoThe 24 y/o Hawaii born Yamamoto is making his 3rd start this year after 15 last season. His two starts this season (TOR & BAL) finds his ERA in the district of Matzlandia (9.82)Faced the Mets twice last year and went 1-1The 9-6 Marlins are coming off losing 2 of 3 to the Braves and not scoring a lot (lost 1-2 and 0-4) especially when you consider that the Braves's pitching staff at the moment consists of two peanut vendors and a AA batting practice catcher.Mets will try to jack up their runs scored tonight by getting at least two hits w/RiSP ... even if it takes them 16 ABs
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Jordan Yamamoto will try to help you out
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Without seeing a line or lineup I laid down twenty solid to win twenty semi-solid that Alonsowill hit six foul balls before 9:00 PM ET!! #lgm #ygb #ymdyf
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Even if this review was successful there was the question of where Zimmo winds up. Has Rojas even won a challenge yet?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 I'm no gay icon (nttawwt), but Gselly's got a sexy build. Broad shoulders, slim waist
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 There are Martin Scorcese movies that aren't as long as that bottom of the first.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 This is the first time I've noticed that the poor umps are wearing there memorial patches at once. Yikes.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Good heavens, Mr. Yamamoto!! You're WILD!!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Another dumb play for the mets
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Either the ump is generous or Cervelli is stealing a lot of strikes.Really, they're the only strikes that Yamamoto is getting.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Sweet. Starter knocked out in the second. We go to an ad and ... Johnny Bench likes wiping emu on himself.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Already two opportunities to score a run with a flyball and they can't get it done. Fortunately, Dom and Amed did some damage.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 A three-run rally is nice, but they left two big fat ducks out there.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 That has to be one of the worst 3-run innings I've ever seen. They should scored about 10.This club is disgraceful
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 So, nobody in Miami wanted to by a corrugated plastic representation of themself?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 The two replay reviews in this game each appeared to take well over one minute ... or about 50 seconds longer than either should have needed. They can put a time limit on it all they want, but if there's no enforcement it doesn't matter.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Back to back!Belly to belly! We chased YamamotoNow the Fish just chased Gselly!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 Two innings and a combined Four runs ... 70 minutes.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 This ump is giving the Marlins some garbage strikes.

Just awful baseball
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Hey, great, we're 1/3 of the way through this game, at just 95 minutes in. WOOOOOOO
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 The umpires suck too
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 I checked; I couldn't watch. Oddly glad

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 The quality of this game is so poor that even Pete Alonso is succeeding
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 So they mentioned earlier that Alonso has had more RiSP in his PAs than anyone else in MLB (was it 30 or 39?)Well that HR he just hit was his 12th RBI of the season and 4 of those RBIs were himself since that was his 4th HRSo with all those bodies on base he's driven in just 8 of them.On a related note, only the Giants have hit into more DPs this season than the Mets.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 A leadoff triple for Nimmo and 2-3-4 in the order due up.So I'm guessing about a 10% chance at bringing him in?Just the fact that this game in still in play is ridiculous. And it's not just in play but I'd say it's in danger!
