Gary: "There's no reason Rosario would be stealing here."

Edgy: "Staying out of the double-play might be a reason."

Gary: "And a perfect double-play ball hit to the shortstop."

Mets have had 11 baserunners, Braves have had six.

Mets have had the leadoff runner on in four of the six innings, the Braves have had their top guy on in one

... and yet we've never been in the game.

I am so sick of Nido and Rivera. Russell Martin is unemployed but AA C's Nido and Rivera backup Ramos (0 HR, 0 RBI).

I'm happy with Shmeterson pitching deep into the game, but it's an unhappy thing that he gets a longer leash than deGrom

It's also tough to go 0-5 (and, yes, I've written this one off already) despite getting opposing starters out of the game with regularity

Eovaldi (BOS) - 5 innings

Perez (BOS) - 5.2

Bewcombe (ATL) - 4.1

Toussaint (ATL) 4.0

Wright (ATL) - 3.1

And what a fitting way to end the game: get multiple runners on w/no outs ... and then follow that with a 3-pitch K, a weak-ass pop fly, and an even weaker-ass groundout.

The runners not only didn't score, they didn't even budge.

And tomorrow is a deGrom game so we've got no fucking chance there.

Today tied a 57-year-old franchise record for most LOB, 13, in a nine-inning shutout loss.

Not since 1987 for the 10+ hits/shutout, but they only walked 3 times that day: 5/3/87 vs Montreal

Only in the 13 LOB first game of May 12, 1963, did they previously put 15 runners on base via hit or walk w/o an error and not score in a nine-inning game. (They won the nightcap 13-12).

On 4/24/1999, they were shut out with 8 H, 6 BB, 1 HBP; 12 LOB.

Well, Chili Davis isn't even with the the team, because he's been self-quarantining.

The Mets look underprepared, but I don't think coaches are going to be busted after 10 games.

And yeah, Alonso looked very goaty all afternoon.
