This whole game is a disgrace.

Each team brings in a reliever to hold the line in the B8/T9 innings and it takes them a combined 70-some pitches to record four outs even though no one on either side has git a ball hard yet.

Mostly, they haven't hit the ball at all.

Diaz looks like the same guy. Some of the best stuff in the league and no idea where he's throwing it. I think the project he most reminds me of is Jorge Julio. But Julio was never the closer, and once the Mets got him settled down for two good weeks, they traded him for Orlando Hernández.

I remember when Howard Cossell, on a Mets post-game show, was doing the out of town scoreboard. He said "The Braves must have given up on this game. They brought in Ron Piche".
