After two were out and no one on in the 9th, four of the next six Braves hitters reached base. Five of six if you want to count the guy on 2nd via the 'magic double'.

I'll say this, having now seen the AB (after initially listening on the radio), Diaz didn't, like, miss. He wasn't all over the place in that inning, or that confrontation. He made a decent pitch, and Ozuna sold out to tag it, and he did. It will happen. This may feel the same as last year, but really, it doesn't feel the same as last year, y'know?



That said, let's not do this again.

Well, if there's a save situation today, it better not be Diaz coming out of the bullpen. They have other options and I think Edwin's going to have to sit occasionally. It would also help if this 'greatest offensive lineup in years' could actually score some runs.



Oh, and this extra inning rule is beyond stupid.

I didn't see it that way. He was getting wild leading up to that pitch.



The team has four guys with established records of closing. Let's not get carried away with trying to establish any one of them as the hero. That's just waiting for trouble, putting all your mangoes in one crate, as it were.



Let's win 40 of 60 and if there are 40 saves to be had in there, let's get them 10 apiece, or something.
