Major League Baseball has sent out a fan survey, asking fifteen questions. Let's make each of these a poll, so they can be voted on and discussed individually.

In order to reduce wear and tear on players during a condensed schedule, each extra inning will begin with a runner on base in order to improve the chance of a quick finish

The assclowns that came up with all this needs to outed and ripped a new one.

I actually don't hate this IF it's after "a few" (2, 3?) normal extra innings and only in a shortened season where the pitchers don't have enough time to get ready. I prefer it to ties and having position players pitch.

I never get the "wear-and-tear on pitchers" argument.

If they are worn down, but still throwing goose eggs, what gives? In fact, isn't seeing what gives the point?

If the rosters are going to be expanded, more pitchers will be available to pitch more deeply, if necessary.
