kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I thought the Twins were supposed to be, ya know, like good!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Useless. Might as well be the Pirates.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 So I'm taking it from these last few posts that the Twins didn't come back in this game after I turned it off?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 =Fman99 post_id=23824 time=1570242018 user_id=86]Why must they suck SO BAD against the MFY's? This shit gives me pain.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 The Twins didn't impress me at all when the Mets played them. I remember thinking to myself "How can this team be a playoff contender?"MFY's in 3. No game is close.Like I said. Our only hope is Houston. Let's hope some of the MFY's get frostbite or some shit while they're in Minnesota.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Oh FUCK YOU Twins!!!Bases-loaded/no outs, 2nd inning -- ZERO runs, ZERO balls out of the infield!!!Oh yeah, and my cable is going in and out, which means there are two games on and I'm having trouble watching either one of them! Not that I'm in a bad mood about any of this.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 I just sat through a bunch of the Washington win, no way I'm turning into Yankees humping each other celebrating a sweep.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 K w/three on to end the 2ndK w/two on to end the 3rdCashing it in now because there's no way I'm staying up to 2AM (at this rate) to catch the end of this one anyway.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 9 hits + 4 walks = 1 run (a garbage time solo HR). 11 LOB; 2-12 w/RiSP ... Way to be clutch!Only out-scored 23-7 in this year's version of three-and-out.Just forfeit next time.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Mets season ended about 10,000 times better than the Twinks did.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 MFY fans will be patting themselves on the back (even more so than usual) after these comments in The Athletic, written by Marc Carig:[bLOCKQUOTE]Yet, privately, there was a feeling within the organization that the hostile environment in New York had indeed played a factor. The Twins had gotten punched in the mouth and they didn't know quite how to respond. This would be something to learn from moving forward. At least, that's the message that seemed to come from Tyler Duffey, the reliever who surrendered Didi Gregorius' grand slam in Game 2.“I'm trying to think of a nice way to say it,” Duffey said. “They hate you for no reason, which is what you want.”Indeed, the Twins' relievers got showered with beer and epithets and “a lot of expletives.” Mothers, daughters, wives, apparently they were all fair game for the hecklers who sought to rattle the visitors. “Someone told me they were going to do something to my wife while we were in New York,” Duffey said. “They take full advantage of whatever they paid for that ticket and they get their full money's worth.”...“Boston's fun, they're baseball fans,” Duffey said. “Yankee fans, they just hate people.”[/bLOCKQUOTE]https://theathletic.com/1270365/2019/10/08/carig-for-twins-a-hope-that-lasting-lessons-come-from-failure/https://theathletic.com/1270365/2019/10/08/carig-for-twins-a-hope-that-lasting-lessons-come-from-failure/
