Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 And now to the top four in their order, all four of whom are hitting like .700 over the last month or so.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Jesus what a bedshit.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Lugo may not have been the best idea here.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 That was some head-meets-ass managing right there.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Mickey will give us some crap like "Steven got tired running the bases".
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Every one of these hits is coming with 2 strikes
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 (edited) Like the FHaMs, only with Alonso popping out instead of hitting dingers! Edited August 14, 2019 by Guest
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Mickey will give us some crap like "Steven got tired running the bases".I suspect he had already decided to pull him after the final three outs he got were all bullets right at OF'ers, but thenallowed him to hit anyway because, well why not?, he swings as well as anyone left on the bench.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 But at least we're putting up a good fight against the bullpen
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Oh good, another leadoff batter on!!!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Tying run to bat, amazinly
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Looie looie looie lou-ee-ee
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Probably on the transfer
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Mick challenges anyway, figuring he wasn't lucky enough to have this play end the game as it should have
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Oh wow, Guillorme is safe. Bases loaded 1 out.We didn't deserve this
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Pretty sure Ramos will DP here
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Oh, whiffs. Up to Conforto and he's had a rough night. Will bring in Blevins
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Most years, eh, Conforto strikes out.But this season? I could see a 3 run double here.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Ah, fuck. Conforto is worthless vs. lhp
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Conforto OWES Schaefer for this game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Wound up out-hitting them 12-8 AND played better defense, but six of the Braves eight hits hits came not only consecutively but also with RiSP.We, meanwhile, left 212 runners on base. OK actually only 10, but still, they left only 5 while we were 3-fer-11 w/RiSP to their 6/12
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Sucky. Caught an inning or two early but wasn't getting the good hope that the bats were going to wake up. We did watch the Ruben-less AAA Mets win 5-4, though, so there's that.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Just saw this. Would have thought Matz would spit the bit before Lugo. This team is beyond frustrating
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Lets raise a glass to Matz, though, who was terrific and clearly wanted this.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 I hate when Mickey makes up his mind about what he's going to do before the game starts. Sometimes winning a game means seat-of-the-pants decisions. Crazy stuff
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Since defeating the Nationals on Saturday, WSH has won 4 in a row and picked up 3 1/2 games on the Mets who have lost 3 in a row. So much for momentum.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
