Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 OK, I'm a new-ball-for-the-second-half believer. That warning-track shot that Hechie just hit would have been five rows deep back in late June.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 These SHaMs are awesome. Me and the Fkids will be at the matinee tomorrow. Pretty excited to see them again.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Had a good time with the Lunchpail despite nearly missing 1st pitch as 7 Train was shut down after running over a guy. E to the 7, local, we made it.Good crowd. Our section up top loaded with teens from Floral Park drinking and smoking among the top rows, they eventually caught the attention of the security force and got thrown out or asked to leave.Wondered why Yamamoto wasn't there when this thread assured me he would, but the top half of the lineup did their job. The bottom end, like the top of our section largely out of it and not participating.Guillotines late double may save him.Wheeler not particularly great but got the Ks when he needed them, the DPs when he needed them, and damn near a CG shutout despite what... 5 or 6 innings beginning with a walk or hit. Did not think Ramos got enough to leave the yard, only his body language said so.McNeil is still incredible.Alonso still a small worry for me, 2 hits and all.Frazier and Alonso made a big league play.Concessions slow tonight, tried the cheese steak for the first time and wasn't awful. Craft beer stands all locked down.

Mike Cameron is, perhaps, the furthest thing. Luis is pretty white-guy-ish.But it is a strange and problematic as a walk-up song.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 The Mets end the night a game-and-a-half behind Philly for a playoff spot, with STL and MIL inconveniently if transiently in between.LFGM, indeed.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 I think the key is to have the starters go 8 strong every night. Old-school baseball.
