Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Sorry Dylan but the Mets win streak will not.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I'll be in the gay dame crowd this afternoon looking for the Mets winning streak to continue.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 The Mets TransMonk will step right up and greet...Jeff McNeil – RFMichael Conforto – CFPete Alonso – 1BRobinson Canó – DH (yeech, for multiple reasons)Wilson Ramos – CJ.D. Davis – LFTodd Frazier- 3BAmed Rosario – SSAdeiny Hechavarría – 2BZack Wheeler – RHP for the Mets still
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Surprised but also pleased to see McNeil good to go. I agree with Gelbs eyewitness report of his relative mopey-ness last night.Let's sweep this inferior club and move on. It's my sense that these weekday getaway day games haven;t been kind to the Mets this year but I haven't actually looked that up
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Mets 1-3 in final games of series that are weekday afternoon dates.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Cano batting cleanup again. Must have pictures of Mickey. No other explanation.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Mickey actually said he didn't want to interrupt this awesome streak they've been having even as nobody except Rosie and Conforto are hitting one of the worst clubs we'll face all year.Any one game ought not matter but jeez. We dropped him a couple weeks back and he came back with a mini hot-streak

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Mr. Cleanup goes yard, 1-0 Mets
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 He could have done that hitting 8th, too.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Wheels was throwing a no hitter till Abreu singled off Rosie's glove. We just made the 3rd out at 3rd base Davis caught going 1st to 3rd on a Rosie single, 1-0 after 4.5
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Okay, well, he couldn't have done THAT hitting 8th.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Fat Fammy in to get the last 2 outs.Has his fatness ever been advanced as a reason for his struggles? The guy is a whale
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Think the shoulder stuff is probably more related.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 It may not have been tight enough for a save sit, but hopefully finishing a win for a team on a roll, walking off the mound, getting congrats from everybody, felt save-like enough to get him CAHN-fident.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Bill couldn't make this trip so he sent his cousin, Guillermo "Barrendero" Escoba, who says "Muy Bien! La Ardilla es Hombre Araña! Familia es muy gordo! Zack Rodador mucho strikos! Mickey es un genio! Vete a casa y vence a Los Piratas!!"http://www.mbtn.net/images/broom2.jpg>
