Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 Umpty Dumpty has been calling a massive strike zone.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Dom Smith batting, 2 outs, 1 on. He gets on and McNeil is the tying run.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 Right up to the ninth, we're getting strikes from the neck to the shins.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Ah, fukit. See you tomorrow in Wrigley
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 And he beginning is the ending.Mets outplayed, and Lockett wasn't the answer. But the home plate umping sure was smelly.Nice to see Font put up another good showing, but I need to see some winnums.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Great song to lead off this track. Great HR by Piss Missile Pete. The rest, well, meh.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I'm beginning to see myself disengaging from this team. It's a process that's fairly frequent. They tease for a while then settle into the doldrums of less-than-mediocre. Seems to be happening again.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 It struck me last night that in the middle of June in a season where we were supposed to be contenders, we trotted out four guys who had like a combined twenty total major league innings before tonight (plus Gsellman). What the fricking hell? And of course, our guy making his major league debut gets lit up like a firecracker, and their guy making his major league debut looks like a fuckin' Hall of Famer out there, standing O after standing O.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 21, 2019 Author Posted June 21, 2019 It struck me last night that a better title track for this thread would have been "Hard for Me to Say I'm Sorry."
